Common questions
Why do I have to give a card to start the trial?
To keep the list serious. Subscribers who put a card down on day one are the ones who'll actually read each issue, so the brief gets better and the spam load on email providers stays low. You're not charged for the first 30 days, and if you cancel before day 31 you never pay a penny.
What happens at the end of the 30 days?
Stripe charges your card £6.99 and emails you a receipt. From then on you're billed monthly until you cancel. You can cancel any time from billing settings — one click, takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
What happens if my card fails?
Stripe retries automatically over about three weeks. If it never recovers, we cancel the subscription and stop sending. You can re-subscribe at any time.
Do you offer refunds?
Monthly plans are billed in advance and not refunded for the current month, but you can cancel renewal at any time and the brief stops at the end of the period you've already paid for.
